Jungle Baby Shower

Both my brother's and their wives are due with baby GIRLS in December!! We can NOT wait to have more girls running around! That means we will 3 boys and 3 girls on my side of the family :) Since I threw Angela a baby shower for her first I was so excited to offer the same to Melanie!

I had so many ideas running around my head but since Melanie isn't the Pink-in-your-face type of girl, I went with a jungle theme to make it a little more subtle :)

It is one of my favourites!!! (I think I say this every new party I throw ha)

I LOVE these paper flowers so much (even though they are SO much work.) They are the hardest flowers I have come by but I can't find any easier ones that I like as much. And you can't go wrong with rose gold balloons!

The spread!

Vegg Platter

Cupcakes! Rosettes are not as hard as I originally thought!

Sugar Cookies! I tried to lighten my load a little and went for plain white cookies with a rose gold shimmer. You can't tell in the picture but they were actually very sparkly and very cute!

Timbits :)

Fruit Platter

I forgot to take a picture (sad face) but Melanie's parents are from the Philippines her mom made the most AMAZING food to go with my dessert table. We had noodles, spring rolls and meatballs and it was all to die for!! We love when the Cardona's come to visit from Winnipeg and cook for us all.

I was so excited about the party favours! I went to an estate sale and they had mason jars for 10 cents each!!!! So I planned the favours around that and I am in love with them!

Ready to Pop!! With jungle animals on top :)

I had never done this before but I think I will from now on, to find my new house easily I made a huge copy of the party invitation and hung it on my door! (I smudged out my info because you know…. internet)

And finally games!!! I have my favourite baby shower games down to a select few. These ones tend to be the easiest but most fun that party guests can do at their own pace (no set game time that everyone needs to participate in.) So I tend to do basically the same games for each shower haha. Guess how many candies are in the jar and "The Price is Right" guess the price of the baby essentials basket.

Guess the flavour of baby food… my personal favourite. I always find the grossest ones hahah

Guess Melanie's baby bump size

And I don't have the first game pictured but it was guess the name of the jungle babies. I have a list of jungle animals and you have to guess what the baby is called. I always pick hard ones and it is so funny to watch people struggle with them. Did you know a baby platypus is called a puggle!? So cute!!

We had so many people show up for the shower (I have a house to fit them all now!!!!) and we had SO much fun! It was definitely a big success so thank you to everyone who came to celebrate Melanie and baby girl!!! She got some of the cutest gifts I have ever seen!

I LOVE throwing baby showers and hope I always have opportunities to do so. I feel like my window of friends and family having babies is closing haha so who knows how many I will have left. At least everyone always has Birthdays :)
