Minecraft!!!

Another year come and gone 😱😱 Boston turns 7 next week and has been SO, SO excited for his birthday party. He (like every other boy is his class so far haha) wanted a MINECRAFT theme! 

In Minecraft, everything is made of SQUARES! So I cut out like..... a million paper squares to complete all the decor. We got Steve, Alex, a Creeper and a Zombie! I think they turned out pretty cute! And I was pretty proud of my torches and TNT boxes as well. 

Also I LOVE this banner I made this year! (Even though it was one of the most time consuming things I have ever made.... can you see all those individual square on there!?) It ended up being a lot of work but I think it was the best thing there! I got this new backdrop and army table cloth on WISH and I am completely obsessed! 

The spread this year was one of the easiest I have done, but also the cutest!! I love how the square plates tied everything together. And there is SO much fun Minecraft food to copy!

The last few cakes I have made I have been trying from scratch (I have always just done box cake LOL) and I don’t mean to toot my own horn but.... they have been SO freaking good!! I am never going back! I actually join in on the cake eating now 😂😂

Boston had a few requests, but one thing he NEEDED was a NetherPortal... lol 

Boston was VERY involved the the games this year and helped me plan each one. He wanted a scavenger hunt of sorts. Again, Minecraft has SO many animals so I picked a few and hid them all around the house. It was complete and utter chaos haha but I think all the kids had so much fun running around and finding them all!

Fishing! This was a funny request but I delivered! Haha. I wanted to print off actual Minecraft fishies but I ran out of ink! So rainbow fish it was.... you can actually fish in the game so it was on theme, but I wasn’t sure what to fish for... so we fished for our swords 😂😂 (you can find all sorts of things in the ocean right!?) 

I forgot to take a picture 😱 but we also had a Enderman Piñata! 

Then after cake and presents we played with our creeper slime! I was very, VERY uncertain about this activity haha. I rarely even let my kids play with play-doh... but it WAS a strong request from the birthday boy so.... we made slime 🙄🙄 It really wasn’t that bad.... I survived haha.

Parties with a bunch of 7 years olds is..... exhausting!!! I need a nap 😴 But I love my Boss man and he had the best day so that’s all that matters!! He is seriously the BEST big brother and friend. He is so kind, sweet, sensitive, talented and funny! We love him so much and can’t wait to see what this year brings for him!
