Encanto Party!

ENCANTO!

When I asked Bailey what theme she wanted this year I wasn't as excited as I usually am. Don't get me wrong... I loved Encanto, but I was just loving our princess themes :) I tried really hard to push Beauty and the Beast but Encanto is her favourite movie right now and she was adamant!

And I must admit now that it is done it is one of my favourites!!! I tend to try and push what I want because that's who I am lol but it always works out best when I go with what they love.

I tried a few new patterns for paper flowers and I LOVE them!! The Dhalias are my favourite. I am getting much quicker at them so they aren't as much of a hassle as they used to be. I found all the patterns I have on Pinterest.  I was able to finish these all in one day, although my hand was paying the price from all the cutting.

About 2 days after I finished all the flowers I found a Cricut Air 2 second hand for very cheap and used it to cut out all the butterflies, leaves and banners! Would have been nice to have that for the flowers haha but I don't mind making them by hand.

My favourite accent decor that I am most proud of are my cactus made out of pool noodles and toothpicks. I thought they turned out so cute :) I added some stuffing on top of my drink dispenser to make "Peppa's Rain Cloud" drink.

"Mirabel's Family Cookies"

The pico projector has been a game changer for my cookies! I am in love.

"Bruno's Vision Cupcakes"

I made candy glass for the first time! The kids loved helping me break it apart and it was the perfect cupcake topper.

"Camilio's Shape Shifting Veggies"

I think I explained this one to the kids about 100 times and they still didn't get it haha. But they enjoyed the watermelon.

"Luisa's Power Bars"

"Abuela's Candle Jello"

I LOVED how these turned out. Just paper and gold marker wrapped around the cups filled with Jello.

"Julieta's Healing Sandwiches"

I wanted to make Arepas like in the song but I have no idea how :)

"Antonio's Animal Crackers"

"Dolores' Ear Plugs"

I thought about what to do for Dolores for FOREVER and was coming up with nothing.... I walked by these mallows and ear plugs popped into my head haha. They were a big hit and the kids ate way too many!

"Isabella's Grapes From the Vine"

Treat Bags!

I tried to make each girl a personalized door on their bag. I don't know if it translated but what's inside is more important anyway :) They each got a pair of Mirabel glasses, butterfly stickers, slime, skipping rope, pop-it bracelet and candy from in the piñata.

Our first activity was bracelet making!

Then an Encanto sing-a-long

Then a scavenger hunt!

They had to follow the butterflies and find a piece of Bruno's vision at each clue! I found these glow-in-the-dark rocks at the dollar store and thought they would be perfect.

"My cute Mirabel with her cute Mirabel"

They found Mirabel at the end of the treasure hunt and some candies!

Then we played pin-the-butterfly (which I forgot to take a picture of)

And ended with the piñata!

They all had so much fun and everything went perfectly. Encanto was such a fun party to do and Bailey was SO happy so that's all that matters. I love doing these parties and am thinking about the next one already :)
